This conference was organised by jointly by The Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM), the Food and Nutritional Sciences Division of the CSIRO and the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA) . Nutritional and environmental medicine, also known as functional or orthomolecular medicine is strongly evidence-based, drawing on the latest biomedical science and research to develop better treatment approaches to disease and illness, such as for metabolic disorders, cardiovascular dysfunction, neurodegenerative diseases, mental illness and cancer. Speakers were recognised leaders in science, research and clinical application of nutritional and environmental principles from Australia, New Zealand and overseas.
